OUR STORY

Panola Valley Gardens was first established in 1996. It began as a small hobby for owners Mary Ann and Gary Norton who, over a year, had backyard weddings for three of their sons. In 1998, Mary Ann advertised her garden in the local newspaper. “I wanted to see if anyone was interested in my idea of outdoor weddings. I hoped to get maybe two weddings but ended up with six. The rest is history,” says Mary Ann. In 2005, Tea in the Garden was launched, occasionally hosting small tea parties. Tea in the Garden has greatly expanded and is now offering weekly luncheons and afternoon teas. Over nearly three decades, Panola Valley Gardens has expanded to a fully landscaped eight acre wedding and private event venue, offering events of all kinds to locals in our community and visitors from all over the world alike. Panola Valley Gardens and Tea in the Garden is a small, family-owned, and operated business. Over the years, we have worked hard to establish a reputation for tasty food, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere. We are very pleased to see our hard work pay off as many of our customers faithfully return year after year, and often bring new companions to share the experience.
